Did you enter right value for base directory (full path) in includez/config.php file ?
SCRIPT_BASE_DIR must be correct

define( SCRIPT_BASE_DIR , '/var/www/html/zdr' ); // Base directory without backslash

I too am having installation problems. hen I visit, I get this message:
Warning: file(manpublishing.co.uk/www/uploads/zdr/userdata.dat) [function.file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/manpubli/public_html/uploads/includez/auth.class.php(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(2) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code on line 33
The file userdata.dat is indeed in the folder listed above and has permissions of 777. This looks like a path error in the config file, but I can't see quite where I've gone wrong. Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Make sure "manpublishing.co.uk/www/uploads" is your full path to your
script.

Please correct define( SCRIPT_BASE_DIR , 'manpublishing.co.uk/www/uploads' );

in yor config.php file.

Ok, so I tried almost every single possible definition for the SCRIPT_BASE_DIR, and I'm still getting the error that the files aren't writable, even though they are all 777. my files are in the public_html folder, under a folder named filesharing. my site name is yamfoofoo.com
could you tell me what path I am supposed to use?

Hi mythe
the SCRIPT_BASE_DIR is the absolute (not relative!) url of your installation folder.
It depends of your web hosting or of your local server configuration.
For example if you install Protected Downloads ZDR in your Windows local server configuration the Base directory will be an url type C://....

Another example: I'm still using Aruba web hosting. Its absolute url is /web/htdocs/nameofmysite/home/ and I have created another directory where I put Protected Downloads ZDR files, so my scrip base directory is similar to /web/htdocs/nameofmysite/home/created_folder

In the config.php you can read 2 lines for define the script base dir, remember that you must disable or delete one of them!

If you don't know what your hosting provider adopt for its absolute url you must go to the panel admin of your host and search for it! (These informations are in ALL hosting provider)

Bye!

I seem to be having a the same error as discussed previously. I'm using the path root per my web hosting service. I've verified the files and folder are writable. However, I'm still receiving the error.

Here's what my config file says:
define( SCRIPT_BASE_DIR , 'home/users/web/b2701/ipw.jslatt/public_html/test2' ); // Base directory without backslash

Here's what my provide says:
Path to your Web document root: /home/users/web/b2701/ipw.jslatt/public_html

Any suggestions?

I've installed the script and it brings up the login and allows me to login with the default admin login. However, when I click on User Manipulation it takes me back to the login screen. Is there a file permission I've missed?

Hello,
It takes a long time since last post. Probably everything works for everyone but not for me smiley

The main site is running. It shows that the necessary files are writable.
The problem is that default login and password wont work (admin/password)
Second problem is - when I click to "Register" or "Lost password" it shows something like:

Fatal error: Class 'UsersZDR' not found in /home/virtualki/74540/index.php on line 32

Fatal error: Class 'ResetPassword' not found in /home/virtualki/74540/index.php on line 36

Please advice me what can I do to launch the script.

Thank You!

Hi, How to remove Register from Login screen? I don't want them to register and have full access! if you leave register then they should not have any rights until the admin assigns them
